A good SBS drama back in 2013. Didn't get a chance to finish it back in school days, I remember I've watched the last episode before, so I decided to watch it all over again, and here it is, finally done with "That Winter, The Wind Blows".
Jo In Sung as Oh Soo, an orphan who is heartbroken after his first love dies, he then became a gambler and playboy, doesn't know what is the meaning of life or living. Because of the debts or else he would forfeit his own life, he pretends Oh Young's long-lost brother and sets sights on a new target.
Song Hye Kyo as Oh Young, a blind, lonely and stubborn heiress, who does not believe in love and the people around her, trying to find her long-lost brother after her parents divorced. Accidentally, she met Oh Soo, who she thought was her real brother, and they both started living under a same roof.
I really like the character of Oh Soo. Started from a playboy, gambler and con man that with flawless skills and techniques then changed to a better man after fell in love with Oh Young. Helps, protects her in every single corner. He even found the meaning of life and love, the very last reason for him to live and try his best to live well. I am so touched when the scene that after the truth revealed, Oh Young gave him the money that he wants, but he didn't even took a cent! This really proves that he really loves her much. And the way he protects the people that he loves, it's just so warm.
Oh Young did the same as well. From a stubborn, never wanted to accept help from the others and always trying to commit suicide changed to a total different person that learned to forgive, started to believe in love and people around her. She decided to live well for herself and Oh Soo, fell in love with him and saw his love with her heart. The scene that Oh Young impressed me well is when she said conning her was no fault, she lived happily when spending time with Oh Soo. Love is innocent.
What else that touched me are Jin Sung, Hee Sun and Moo Chul. The 3 of them help Oh Soo and Oh Young up and down. Especially Moo Chul, he helps Oh Soo away from all the bad things even though he hates him lot. The part when he died, that was really sad.
The OST are super good for sure! Snowflake by Gummy is the best for me. Always the OST queen of mine.
