Lee Yool becomes the Crown Prince against his will after his father inherits of the throne. While investigating an attempt to murder him, he finds himself targeted and is severely harmed during an attack orchestrated by the Vice-Minister.
He's found unconscious by Hong Sim's step-father who heals him. Having seemingly lost his memory, the father uses this opportunity to save his step-daughter from punishment as she is the only unmarried woman of the village and announces that Lee Yool is actually Won Deuk, a fictional male that Hong Sim invented as her fiancé in order to postpone her marriage.
Yes, another drama from our talented actor Do, again! Maybe you've seen him in many films and dramas before but this is the first time he played as a main role! And this is his first historical drama, so it was really excited to watch! I'm not the one who usually like historical drama, because I'm afraid that the historical one will be much more difficult to understand the story line than the modern one. But it's our D.O.! How can I not watch it?
D.O. really suits historical drama! All his outfits from head to toes, it's just perfect. The character that he portrayed, Lee Yool / Won Deuk, the way he talked, his tone, the way he feels annoyed, the savage one, all just suits his character so so well, he takes it seriously, it's like he was portraying himself, he brought the real life D.O. on screen! He acted it so natural, so well and so cute!
There were a lots of funny scenes in this drama, those scenes will definitely make you laugh so hard! D.O. really played it so good in all those scenes. The chemistry between D.O. and Nam Ji Hyun was so good as well, both of them were just so funny and cute together!
There were a lot of sad scenes as well, when it comes to sad or crying scene, D.O. never disappoints me in every of his drama or film. Those sad scenes were so heartbreaking! I don't even know how many times I've cried, D.O. just played it so well!
Favourite OST from this drama, "Cherry Blossom Love Song 벚꽃연가" by CHEN. This was so so good! Our OST King is back! The song is just fits perfectly with all the Wondeuk and Hong Sim scenes, and with CHEN's perfect vocal, this is just flawless!
The story line wasn't hard to understand at all, and I'm really really proud of our D.O. again and again! No matter what film or drama, whenever it has our actor Do in it, it will definitely be a good and recommended one. Looking forward for more D.O.'s film and drama!
This is definitely a good one, you will not regret watching D.O's acting!
